Measure mass using electronic balance
For regular objects use digital callipers to measure volume
For irregular objects with a density>water, lower into water and note the change in water level

Determining masses using the principal of moments

Answer 2

With a ruler of known mass, find centre of mass by locating balance point and then find new balance with unknown mass. Take moments around balance point to unknown mass and centre of mass.
With ruler of unknown mass, find centre of mass and balance with known masses on one side and unknown mass on other side. Take moments around pivot.
