Sustained closure of vocal cords resulting in completely or partial loss of the patient’s airway - can occur in anaesthesia if anaesthesia is light at time of stimulus

Clear supraglottic airway obstruction and soiling, CPAP with 100%O2, deepening of anaesthesia IV and paralysis using succinylcholine
