T - Restate the annual report quickly and to a high standard
A - Performed a lot of the work independently, pulled additional help from Chennai
R - Delivered the restatement quickly and to a high quality. Received an Outstanding rating because of it
R - Nothing on the task itself however should have taken advantage of the exposure to senior leadership
How do you ensure you lead by example at all times? Give an example of your leadership style and how you adapt this to meet the needs of your colleagues
S - Graduate handover
T - Get them up to speed, Especially External Reporting (Q3 & RNS)
A - Two weeks before, set up training sessions
R - Grad integrated quickly and enjoyed the year also kept close contact and he follow me to treasury
R - Handled well, but i think because i have suffered from a poor handover in the past

S - FLM, Presenting at the RPF
T - Internal Treasuries / Captive Financials. Key aspects of review and challenge. Pre-socialization rejected as key stakeholders disagreed
A - Put in separate meetings to come to a conclusion
R - Approved
R - Should have been better socialized

T - Issues / Mistakes in the past
A - Responsibility to check on a weekly basis
R - Reduced the amount of mistakes
R - Would have done less checks in the first few weeks

1) Role where i am helping drive the business forward, having a tangible impact and adding value because IPO / M&A is such a crucial stop for the business
2) Client Facing role - Would provide me with a different set of skills. Especially as the job description mentioned interfacing with senior employees
3) Aligning more towards my core skills and things i enjoy
What is capital?
Capital refers to a Company’s assets but focuses on the resources available to conduct daily business operations
What is Equity?
Owners share of the assets of a business
Equity = Total Assets - Total Liabilities
Advantages of raising capital in the ECM? (4)
1) Lower debt to equity ratio
2) More flexible
3) Compared to debt capital, there is less liability in case the business fails
4) Attracts and retains better management and skilled employees
Disadvantages of raising capital in the ECM? (4)
1) Expensive and time consuming
2) More scrutiny
3) Fewer tax benefits
4) Required to disclose financial, accounting, tax and other business information

WACC is typically used for the discount rate
WACC = (Equity * Cost of Equity) + ([% of capital that is debt)*(1-tax)]
What is NPV?
Shows the discounted cash flow of EBIT of a company
NPV = Net cash flow / (1+i)^t
What is IRR?
IRR is the discount rate that makes the NPV zero
