- McGee Airways and Star Air Service merged in 1934 to become largest airline in Alaska with 22 aircraft
- No schedules, flew when the planes were full
- 1937 became Star Air Lines

- 1944 Alaska Airlines name was born
- Late 40s charter operations overshadowed scheduled service, largest charter operator in the world

- 1951 received authority to fly from Anchorage/Fairbanks to Seattle/Portland
- 1957 Charlie Willis WWII pilot became CEO

- At the end had 10 aircraft and served 10 cities in Alaska and Seattle
