1. CREATES JOBS- for business and local people which increases the standard of living.
2. INCREASES SALES- local people will spend more money in local businesses which will increase sales and profits which will allow them to expand.
3. NEW ENTREPRENEURS- other people have the confidence to take the risk to start a business if they see their friends being successful.
4. TAX- more sales= more tax. It is then used for government expenditure and removes the pressure of social welfare.

1. LOCAL ENTERPRISE OFFICE- government funded. They offer advice and information. They offer financial support in the form of a loan or grant, They run courses to train people in the skills needed to run a business. A mentor is assigned to a business. Helps small/medium businesses.
2. LEADER- provides funding to tourism, rural areas and artisan food producers. Offer entrepreneurial advice and provide grants. E.U. funded.
