The church in a certain area for which a bishop is responsible.

Perfumed oil used for anointment

To clean carefully or thoroughly
Community
A group of people who have something in common.
Cross or crucifix
An image of Jesus on the cross - the crucifix emphasizes Jesus’ sacrifice
Deanery
A group of parishes in a diocese
Exorcism
Driving out evil - freeing from the grip of sin
Family
A group of one or more parents and their children living together in a unit
Font
A special pool or bowl that holds the waters of baptism
Initiation
The way new members formally become part of the group
Lectern
Used for preists and speakers to read from. Situated at the front f the church and on a raised platform

The blessed oil with which a person is anointed before they are baptised

The sinful tendency that humans inherit from Adam and Eve’s disobedience

The Church in a small area with a parish church and a parish preist

A living sign by which we recieve God’s help for my souls in a particular way.

A special cupboard where the consencrated eucharist is kept for later use
