What is a community
The place where each person feels a sense of acceptance, belonging and participation.
- common interests
- all build on each other in a certain way
- help us reach our full human potential
Why are communities important?
They help people develop a feel of full human potential.
They help people interact with others, share experiences and develop valued relationships
The three characteristics of a community
Gather, rules and leaders
What would happen without LEADERS
If they don’t have leaders they will lack organisation and it’s members will not function as effectively together.
Why do community’s need RULES
To be successful , every community needs them to achieve their purpose and live in peace and harmony

So they become closer and grow as a community
Everyone has the need for acceptance but only god can satisfy this. EXPLAIN
We need to live a life free of sin, by acting just and doing right by god.
We need to live our lives trusting in Jesus
Why is a parish, family and Kolbe a community
Because it has all of three characteristics (leaders,gather,rules) and they all founded on something ; example a family is founded on love

Why do some people fail to contribute to a community
Immaturity Self centeredness Anti authority attitude Unjust attitude Lack of self appreciation Alienation
