Language Disorder
A
Prevalence- 5%-8%.
Onset- Onset in toddlerhood to the adult level of competency that appears during adolescence.
Diagnostic features- Difficulties in the acquisition and use of language due to deficits in the comprehension or production of vocabulary, sentence structure, and discourse.
Symptoms-
Causes- Genetically as in the family history of language disorder. Environmental such as recurrent middle ear inflammation, low SES, and poor language experience
