How does an optical fiber work?
A
A signal is sent using infrared light as it can travel further within the cable rather than in visible light

State the advantages of an optical fiber
A
More difficult to bug, weigh less, use less energy and no interference from neighboring cables

How do satellites orbit?
A
They must stay in geostationary orbit as the satellite needs to be above a fixed point on the earth so the dishes do not need to be moved

What is a geosynchronous orbit?
A
Has an orbit time of 24 hours, however the object only returns exactly in the same position of the sky after a day
