What are the 3 phases of the Nurse-Patient relationship and what does each entail?
ORIENTATION: get acquainted, establish trust and rapport, share info, roles, goals, and limitations are set. Expectations are clarified WORKING: problems identified, feelings explored, most therapeutic work is done, interventions are planned and/or implemented. TERMINATION: final stage, patient’s goals are met, positive and negative feelings, feelings should be shared, must maintain profession boundaries.
