Examples of formal communication are - business letters, reports, orders, etc. while examples of informal communication are face-to-face communication, telephonic conversations, etc.
State two disadvantages of verbal communication
there are always chances of misunderstandings, and risk of denial

-can take time to compose since there’s no rush to understand written communication
Outline the difference between one-way and two-way communication
One-way communication is linear and limited because it occurs in a straight line from sender to receiver and serves to inform, persuade or command. Two-way communication always includes feedback from the receiver to the sender and lets the sender know the message has been received accurately
Explain two ways that business may use digital communication
-it’s quicker to send messages
-could be translated so anyone can understand

Outline the difference between vertical and horizontal communication
Horizontal communication refers to that between colleagues on an equal hierarchical level. Vertical communication is that which travels up and down the hierarchy
Outline the difference between internal and external communication
Internal communication is communication that takes place within an organisation, while external communication is communication that takes place outside of an organisation
Describe two ways that digital communication has influenced business activity
