Anhedonia

flight of ideas
continuous flow of accelerated speech with abrupt changes from topic to topic. The speech can be either coherent or incoherent
circumstantial speech
adds unnecessary and lengthy details when communicating but eventually gets to the point
Pressured speech
fast, ranging from rapid to frenetic. A client using pressured speech will speak loudly, incoherently, and with a false sense of urgency.
Compensation
Person covers a real or perceived problem or weakness
Conversion
Unconscious transformation of anxiety into physcial manifestation
Projections
Uknonwing rejection of emotinally unacceptable feelings by attributing those feelings to others
Suppression
Conscious blocking of disturbing feelings by suppressing conscious thoughts to avoid worrying about stressor
Bulimia
Binge eating followed by “purging”
