(A) - aesthetics, infection, trauma

surgical removal of the ovaries and uterus (spay)
indications - prevention of pregnancy, infection, tumor
usually preformed - 5 / 6 mo
pyometra
endometrial hyperplasia has resulted in increased uterine secretions and accumulation of fluid
how many weeks after estrus does a pyometra usually occur & recommended treatment
4-8 weeks
