How can you identify slug + snail damage?
How can you control a slug problem?
By the telltale iridescent sheen (dried slug + snail slime) and the irregular munching holes on the leaves.
Control slugs by handpicking at night with a flashlight, reducing mulch, spreading diatomaceous earth.
What do aphids look like?
How can you tell they are around?
They have two little tubes protruding from their rear.
Prefer to feed on tender young leaves and will cause wrinkling or disfigured appearance to new growth.
Examine the undersides of leaves for congregations of aphids.
How can you get rid of aphids?
Wash aphids off plants by spraying with water repeatedly. They will crawl back up but eventually become weakened with repeated spraying.
Plant friendly medicinals for them to take care of the problem.
