Omeprazole

what is it

A

Reduces the amount of acid in your stomach makes

  • Usually used for indigestion, heartburn and acid reflux
  • Also taken to prevent stomach ulcers
  • Starts to work in 2-3 days
  • It works by inhibiting a proton pump which has eznymes that produce acids. So if these enzymes no work–> less acid

Takes 30 mins after tab/syrup
60mins after suppository
