Learn Commonly used drugs in a veterinary clinic.
Carprofen
Used for the relief of pain & inflammation in a variety of animals. (Can be given with or without food, will take effect in about 1-2 hrs)
Cephalexin
Used to treat infections caused by bacteria. (Pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections, infections of the bone, skin, ears, genitals, and urinary tract.)
Dexamethasone
Used to treat a large variety of conditions such as inflammation (swelling), severe allergies, adrenal problems, arthritis, asthma, blood or bone marrow problems, kidney problems, skin conditions, & flare-ups of multiple sclerosis.
Draxxin (aka Tulathromycin)
Macrolide antibiotic used to treat bovine respiratory disease in cattle & swine respiratory disease in pigs.
Banamine (aka Flunixin)
A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat pain, inflammation, and fever.
(Can be used in horses, cattle, and pigs.)
Panacur (aka Fenbendazole)
Medication used to treat a variety of parasites in dogs.
(Roundworms, hookworms, lungworms, whipworms, and certain types of tapeworms.)
Cydectin
Used to control infections and infestations of internal & external parasites. Works to topically treat (pour-on) mites, lice, grubs, lung worms, roundworms, and horn fly annoyance.
Baytril (aka Enrofloxacion)
Is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections.
(Respiratory, urinary tract, & skin infections.)
Cytopoint (aka Lokivetmab)
Used to treat dogs with skin problems due to allergies to elements in their environment.
Convenia (aka Cefovecin)
Injectable antibiotic that actively fights infections, wounds, & abscesses.
(Can be used in cats & dogs.)
Cerenia
Used to treat vomiting in dogs and cats (injection) or to prevent vomiting in dogs (tablets).
