A business whose strategy I admire has to be Quizlet, which is one of the world’s leading flashcards services. I know that a lot of companies are trying to integrate AI into their services and I believe Quizlet has done so in a way that really makes sense for their service, using flashcard sets in a chatbot format to help teach and test customers their chosen field of knowledge.
Tell us about a recent news story that captured your attention and why
A recent news story that I have been following has been the performance of Boeing as a company. Following the recent strikes in September to the widely covered plane accidents occuring in the past decade, most recently in South Korea, it is clear that Boeing is struggling as a company. Therefore, law firms such as Weightmans will be involved heavily in areas such as insurance and employment, negotiating compensation, looking into HR investigations, mitigating risks and losses and managing employment contracts. On a wider scale, this reflects growing numbers of labour strikes across the world such as bus and train companies revealing concerns about employment standards post-covid and also rising criticism about the fragility of global supply chains that may require stronger regulations.
