Still!
Only to be used in an emergency and with maximum force; crew to remain perfectly still exactly where they are. It may be given by any member of crew as well as officer-in-charge.
Rest!
Used if necessary by instructor when carrying out drill to point out a mistake; crew remain still.
Carry on
Given after REST or STILL; crew carry on with what they are doing.
Well!
To indicate that the position desired has been reached e.g. When extending or lowering a ladder.
Stand from under
To be used by anyone who has to lower equipment or drop debris from height where there is risk that it might strike someone. When lowering items the person must ensure that no personnel are below.
Get to work
Carry out drill as detailed .
As you were
Cancels an order previously given; personnel resume their previous position.
Knock off
To close down water supply at the pump delivery and/or the hydrant.
Water on
To turn on the hydrant, open delivery valve on pump etc. according to drill being performed.
