Vasovagal syncope

A

Vagus nerve stimulation—> causes bradycardia and vasodilation

Stimulated by: visceral organ stimulation (peeing, pooping, coughing), carotid bodies, psychogenic

Dx: Tilt table test, usually clinical dx, + prodrome

Tx: BETA BLOCKERS

Dx: orthostatics

Tx: FLUIDS, if doesnt resolve with IVF—> ANS dysfunction (DDM, Parkinsons, old age)
