Combustion Flashcards
What is combustion?
It is the scientific word for burning. It’s a type of chemical reaction that takes place when the substance burns and reacts with oxygen to preheat light and energy and heat.
What is complete combustion?
It is when there is enough oxygen to burn the fuel completely instead of forming carbon dioxide. Bracket CO2 form carbon monoxide CO or sometimes just carbon which is soot carbon monoxide is poisonous. It binds to heat haemoglobin in red blood cells, preventing oxygen from getting to your vital organs.
