what does the colour blue represent
sky, open-ness, cool, chilled
what does the colour purple represent
royalty, luxury, dreams
what does the colour orange represent
warmth, energy, happy, sunset
what is harmonizing colours?
colours that are next to eachother on the colour wheel, they are used in elements of design to look related to eachother
give an example of a few tertiary colours
red-violet, red-orange, yellow-green, yellow-orange, blue-green, blue-violet
what are contrasting colours?
contrasting colours are when two colours are opposite eachother on the colour wheel
what are advancing colours?
they are colours that make a room feel smalled e.g. red, orange, yellow
what are receding colours
colours that make a room feel bigger e.g blue, green, violet
