What is the criteria for 2 WW for suspected colorectal cancer?

Answer 1

• Aged 40 and above with unexplained weight loss and abdominal pain
• Aged 50 and above with unexplained rectal bleeding
• Aged 60 and above with:
• -> IDA
• -> Changes in bowel habit
• Tests show occult faecal blood
• Rectal or abdominal mass

Age < 50 with rectal bleeding and any of the following:
Abdominal pain or
Change in bowel habit or
Weight loss or
Iron-deficiency anaemia

Question 2

What is the criteria for the use of the FIT test?

Answer 2

Aged 50 and over with unexplained:

• changes in their bowel habit, or
• iron-deficiency anaemia, or

Aged 60 and over and have anaemia even in the absence of iron deficiency.
