What did Bacons Rebellion tell England about its colonies?
They wanted to be heard and have more land
What was the Navigation Acts?
Colonies had to trade on British ships and must trade sugar and tobacco with colonies
How did the Magna Carta impact the colonial Governments?
It put limits on the kings power and carried over to the colonies and gave people basic rights and to have a say in their government.
What was the Enlightenment?
An intellectual movement in Europe during the 18th century that led to a new view on the world
What are divine rights and natural rights?
Divine right is the belief that monarchs were given the power to rule by God, Natural rights are rights that are given to a person at birth from nature.
What was the Great Awakening?
Religious revival that spurred many different religions
