moiety? (4)
It comes from the idea that if a person is able to understand the universe, two halves must come together.
A person’s Moiety can be determined by either their mother or fathers side,
People who have the same Moiety are seen as siblings and are forbidden to marry.
They also have a duty to support each other, even if they are not biologically related.
totem? (5)
each person will hold onto at least four.
These totems can represent their nation, clan, family group along with a totem that relates to the individual person.
Totems link a person to the universe and everything natural in it (likes land, air, water and geographical features).
Each member has a responsibility to make sure that their totems are protected during their lifetime so they are able to be passed to the next generation.
Having a totem isn’t seen as owning but rather being accountable for them.
skin names? (4)
A skin name indicates a person’s bloodline, similar to a surname.
Skin names demonstrate how generations are linked and how they should relate to each other.
Skin names are given out in a sequential system, meaning that these names are given based on the preceding name and its level in the naming cycle.
Each nation has its own Skin names and each name has a prefix or suffix to show gender.
