supply is how much of a good is available. Demand is how much people want it or need it. if the supply goes up and demand goes low the price goes down. If supply is low but demand is high the price goes up.

The routes went from the 13 colonies to England to Africa and then to the west Indies. The purpose was to send in items needed by other countries and receive other items.
