Collision theory Flashcards

Q

Collision theory summary…

A

particles move. for a reaction to take place, the particles must collide (bump into eachother) with enough energy. the minimum energy needed for a reaction is called the ACTIVATION ENERGY

Q

What do catalysts do in reaction rates

A

A catalyst works by lowering the amount of energy needed to start the reaction. They lower the ACTIVATION ENERGY!
