GPA
Grade Point Average (GPA) is the average of all your grades you received.
Campus
The grounds and buildings of a university or college.
Bachelor’s
Degree
A degree that is given to a student by a college or university usually after four years of study.
Masters
degree
A degree that is given to a student by a college or university usually after one or two years of additional study after bachelors.
Transcript
A written or printed version of all the classes you have taken and the grades you received.
Associate
degree
A degree granted after a two-year course of study, especially by a community or junior college.
Doctoral degree
The highest degree you can earn in a field. Usually 8+ years of schooling.
SAT TEST
A test that you take when you are in high school to determine your readiness for college.
Vocational
To pursue a skill or trade.
Plagiarism
Definition: Stealing what somebody else wrote. Copying somebody’s idea to get credit for it
Financial Aid
To help pay for college or a career school
Scholarship
Academic study or achievement a grant or payment made to support a student’s education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievement.
Community college
A junior college that only offers associate’s degree and no housing for students.
lecture
An educational talk to an audience, especially to students in a university or college.
A.C.T
The ACT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions. It is a multiple-choice, pencil-and-paper test
