Collateral definition
= the property subject to a security interest

= a person in whose favor a security interest is created or provided for under a security agreement, whether or not any obligation to be secured is outstanding

Definition of consumer goods
= goods that are used or bought for use primarily for personal, family, or household purposes

= good held for sale or lease
Also includes goods furnished under services contracts
Also includes materials used or consumed in a business in a short period of time

Farm products definition (4 parts)
= crops, livestock, supplies used or produced in farming operations, or products of crops/livestock in unmanufactured states IF in the possession of debtor engaged in farming operations
Examples = maple syrup, milk

= record(s) which evidence BOTH a monetary obligation AND a security interest in or a lease of specific goods
