  • castors army - Castro knew in advance that the invasion was likely. Castro assembled a well equipped army of 20,000 men ready to meet the invaders
  • supplies- the Americans tried to parachute extra supply’s to the invasion force but they were dropped into a swamp and into an army base loyal to Fidel Castro
