A
- babies learn through senses and motor skills
- explore their environment to build schemas
- lack object permanence, develops at 8 months

- mobile and can use language but lack logical reasoning
- infants are egocentric, cannot conserve

- no longer make errors in reasoning as long as the task is concrete
