SYMBOLIC CODES FOR JIM SPARKS

A

Elvis bought a ‘bad boy’ aesthetic with his jacket, dance moves, and different clothes.

This coincided with teenagers who started rebelling much more and we can link this with the boost in society and consumerism. This all linked together created a crazy craze.

Teenagers had more freedom, more money, and that in partnership with celebrities, challenging norms and social values, only added fuel to fire. Consequently made teens extremely wild and rebellious.
