Code of Conduct: Factors

A

Responsibilities
—All members are required to act responsibly when using all ICT hardware. Most respect the rights of others while using ICT system and act responsibly, by not opening viruses in emails.

Respecting rights of others
—Do not bully others, do not send inappropriate material that could offend and do not use chat in emails or blogs that would offend others.

Abide by current legislation
—Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse Act and Copyright Designs and Patents Act.

Complying with licensing agreements
—Do not take copes of software and install them at home and do not install them without a license.

Authorisation
—Do not exceed your authorisation levels and ensure you only look at files you are authorised to see.

Security
—All employees must take the security of hardware and software seriously.

Consequences
—Verbal warning, written warning, dismissal and prosecution.
