2 oz Bourbon or Rye
3 Dahses Angostura Bitters
1 tsp bar sugar
splash of water or soda

Muddle bitters, sugar a splach of soda, form syrup at bottom of glass. Add whiskey and ice and stir.

Old Fashioned (muddled)

2 oz Bourbon
3 Dashes Angostura bitters
1 tsp bar sugar
2 Maraschino cherries
splash or water or soda

Muddle at the bottom of a glass Angostura, sugar, one orange and one cherry and a splash of soda. Remove orange rind and add Bourbon, ice and soda or water. Garnish with slice of orange and a cherry

A

National drink of Peru and Chile

1 1/2 oz Pisco
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
several drop Angostura
one small egg white

Shake all ingredients, strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with several drop of Angostura on top of foam of egg whites

Variation of Manhattan

2 1/2 oz Scotch Whisky
3/4 oz Italian sweet vermouth
Dash of Angostura bitters

``` 1 L Cogna 1 L dark, full bodied rum 16 oz fresh lime juice 16 oz Dermerara sugar 2 quarts green tea (8 tsp green tea infused in 2 quarts boiling water) ``` grate nutmeg on top

New Orleans twist on Old Fashioned 2 Dashes Peychaud's Bitters 2 oz rye whiskey Splash of Herbsaint or other absinthe substitute 1/2 oz simple syrup Put Herbsaint into glass, swirl and pour out. Add rye, syrup, bitters and stir with ice cubes, pour into chilled glass.
