What is Vermouth?
According to Italian law:
Vermouth is a product made up of at least 75% wine, fortified and flavored with an alcoholic infusion of herbs and spices which must include artemisia (mugwort). It is this herb and its dried buds that mainly characterizes the recipe of vermouth.
What is Campari?
Campari is an Italian alcoholic liqueur, considered an apéritif - obtained from the infusion of herbs and fruit (including chinotto and cascarilla) in alcohol and water. It is a bitters, characterised by its dark red colour.
Chinotto is a type of carbonated soft drink produced from the juice of the fruit of the myrtle-leaved orange tree.
Cascarilla bark is also used to flavor the liqueurs Campari and Vermouth.
