Q

How are bays formed?

A

In places where rock is soft and hard in different places, bays are often formed.

This is because the softer rock is worn away to form a bay and the harder rock juts out, forming a headland.

A

Caves are formed by two ways:

  1. AN EXISTING CRACK IN THE ROCK, which gets bigger and bigger
  2. A WEAK SPOT IN THE HEADLAND, such as soft rock, which gets eroded away.
