caves
A
as waves are cracking through hydraulic action and abrasion, it opens up to form a cave

arch
A
the cave becomes larger and eventually breaks through the headland to form an arch.

stack
A
base of the arch becomes wider through further erosion, until it becomes too heavy and collapses into the water. This forms a stack.

stump
A
the stack is undercut at the base and erases until it collapses to form a stump.

headland
A
softer rock is eroded inwards and the hard rock sticks out into the sea forming headland.

bay
A
bands of soft rock are weaker therefore erodes to form bay. (usually with beach)
