Maddie is delivering a coaching session to a group of 5 year olds, the other coach has phoned in sick. Maddie’s boss had asked her if she join the two groups and coaches them on her own, meaning she will have 7 children. What should Maddie do?
Maddie should state that she cant coach 7 children of the age of 5 as the ratio states she should only coach up to 6 children at one time on here own
You are not required to but it is recommended you should always have 2 coaches present when delivering a session why?
If an injury occurs you can have another coach support to avoid any group or individual being left on their own.
Second pair of eyes to observe and witness the session and support the delivery.
James and John have been asked to coach a group of 16 boys of 11 years old. Are they legally allowed to coach this number of children between them?
Yes the ration states they are able to deliver to a group of 8 individually and as there are two of them the maximum number of children they can coach is 16.
