CO Alarm
Combined carbon monoxide detector and audible alarm device that:
- is designed to sound an audible alarm upon detection of excessive concentrations of CO
- conforms to UL Standards and where electrically powered, is approved by the CSA
Dwelling
Shall mean a building occupied or capable of being occupied as a home or sleeping place by one or more persons
Dwelling Unit
a suite operated as a housekeeping unit, used or intended to be used as a domicile by one or more persons and usually containing cooking, eating, living, sleeping and sanitary facilities.
Fuel burning appliances
appliances ssh as, but not limited to furnaces, refrigerators, cloths dryers, water heaters, boilers, fireplaces, wood stoves, charcoal grills, gas ranges and space heaters, which are fired by flammable fuels such as, but not limited to natural gas, propane, heating oil, kerosene, coal, gasoline, wood and charcoal.
Lodging, Rooming or Boarding House
shall mean a dwelling in which rooms or room and board are supplied for hire or gain, for more than 2 persons, but shall not include a hotel, motel, group home or other similar establishment.
Occupant
means any person or persons over the age of 18 yrs, or any firm or corporation, in possession of any dwelling unit
Owner
means any person, firm or corporation having control over any portion of the building or property under consideration and includes the persons in the building or the property.
Suite
means a single room or series of rooms of complementary use, operated under a single tenancy, and includes dwelling units, boarding houses dormitories and rooming houses.

3-for a building containing multiple occupancies, each dwelling unit located on the first and second floor levels of the building above a floor level containing a fuel burning appliance
