What does CMOP-E stand for?
Canadian Model of Occupation, Performance, and Engagement
What is CMOP-E?
-The dynamic, interwoven relationship between persons, environment, and occupation
Describe CMOP-E Person: Spirituality
-Quality of being uniquely and truly human
-Expression of will, drive, and motivation
-Source of self determination and personal control
Describe the affective (feeling)
It is how we feel. Related to emotional and social functions. Includes interpersonal and intrapersonal factors
Describe cognitive orientation
Individuals ongoing awareness of the current situation, environment, and passing of time
Describe cognitive problem-solving
Complex process that involves many cognitive skills. Client must process complex info in order to plan strategies and evaluate established strategies
Describe cognitive executive function
Higher order reasoning and planning functions like goal formation, planning, and implementing a plan
What are the executive functioning deficits?
Preservation: Repeated acts/movements during functional performance, difficulty shifting from one response pattern to another
Impulsivity: Beginning a task before implementing a plan
Judgement: The ability to make a realistic decision based on environmental information
Insight & Awareness: Ability to directly know and perceive, to feel or be cognizant of events
Sequencing: Ability to organize activities into logical and timely steps
What is physicalness?
How we physical do things. Includes 6 senses
What is CMOP-E environment?
Contexts that occur outside a person but elicit responses from them

What is barrier free design?
It focuses on providing access to individuals with disabilities. Typically only addresses min. requirements set fourth by law
What are the requirements for installing handrails?
-Required for 3 or more steps in public buildings
-Less than 13cm in diameter
-Non slip
-Free of splinters and other hazards
-Should extend from first step to last step; extended horizontally at the bottom of stairs
Where are helpful places for grab bars?
Bathtubs, showers, next to toilet
When are stair glides used?
When it is no longer safe / clien tis unable to climb
