What is cluttering by definition of ASHA
A
- rapid or irregular speaking rate
- disorganized language
- excessive disfluencies
- speech intelligibility is difficult
- often other symptoms such as language or phonological errors and attention deficits
- exhibit academic problems
- are not aware that listeners can’t understand them
- do not sound fluent - circulocute
- excessive levels of normal disfluencies
- have little or no apparent physical struggle in speaking
- no secondary behaviors
- talk to fast, hard to understand
- pauses are too long, too short or improperly placed.
