How can services in the Public Cloud be accessed?
Services in the Public Cloud can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection.
What is a Private Cloud?
A Private Cloud is an infrastructure that is privately hosted, managed, and owned by an individual company, providing greater control and security over data.
How does a Private Cloud differ from a traditional on-premise server farm?
A Private Cloud applies cloud principles, such as virtualization and on-demand provisioning, but the hardware is usually located on-premise.
What are some considerations when adopting a Private Cloud?
Acquiring the host and data center for a Private Cloud requires more capital expenditure, and additional resources are needed for day-to-day operations and maintenance, resulting in higher operational costs compared to a Public Cloud.
What is a hybrid Cloud?
A hybrid Cloud combines both Public and Private Clouds, often used for seasonal burst traffic or Disaster Recovery purposes.
How is a hybrid Cloud established?
A network link is configured between the Private Cloud and services within the Public Cloud, extending the logical internal network of the Private Cloud.
What are the benefits and drawbacks of a hybrid Cloud?
A hybrid Cloud combines the benefits of both Public and Private Clouds but also inherits the drawbacks of each. It is often a transitional state for enterprises before fully migrating to the Public Cloud.
