- Quote the word
- Discuss it’s connotations
- Show how its connotations are being used in the text

A
- Quote the image
- State which type of image it is
- State what is being compared (A is being compared to B)
- State what they have in common (Just as B is … so too, A is …)
- Explain what the image explains to us

- Discuss what it is linking back to

A
- Quote piece of sentence structure
- State what the sentence structure is
- Explain what the sentence structure does generally
- Show how this is being used in the text

A
- Identify the tone the writer takes
- Quote a piece of word choice / imagery / sentence structure which shows this tone
- Follow the middle step(s) for this type of question
- Show how this conveys the writers tone which you have identified
