- Weight: loss, thin
- Temp: heat intolerant
- Menstrual: oligo
- Bowel: diarrhea
- Mental state: irritable
- Appetite: increased

- Weight: gain, mildly obese
- Temp: cold intolerant
- Menstrual: menorrhagia, oligo
- Bowel: constipation
- Mental state: slowness
- Appetite: may be poor

- Face
- staring gaze
- lid lag (excessive symp stim of levator palpebrae superioris)
- exophthalmos - Skin
- warm, sweaty, flushed - CVS
- tachycardia, AF - LL
- proximal myopathy (increased muscle catabolism)
- pretibial myxedema

- cool, dry, pale - CVS
- bradycardia
- pericardial effusion (leading to decreased CO) - LL
- proximal myopathy (decreased metab)

- Total thyroxine (T4): high vs low
- Free T4: high vs low
- T3: high vs not useful
- TSH: low (primary) vs high (pri), low (sec)
- Autoantibodies: Graves, early Hashimoto vs Hashimoto
