mistakes, deficiency in clinical standard, unnecessary treatment, confidentiality breach, proper consent not obtained, unprofessional manner, inappropriate conduct
what is negligence
the omission to do something which a reasonable person guided upon those considerations which ordinarily regulate the conduct of human affairs, would do, or doing something which a prudent and reasonable person would not do
what standard is a dental student upheld to?
the same standard as the more experienced colleague (although not a consultant)

the dentist owed a duty of care, the duty of care was breached, that breach caused or materially contributed to damage, this damage was reasonably foreseeable and had negative consequences and effects
