Clostridium Difficile (C Diff)
An anerobic spore forming bacillus that can cause symptoms ranging from mild diarrhea to severe colonic inflammation leading to death. Associated with antibiotic use, esp. in long term care facilities and hospitals
Streptococcus Pneumoniae
Bacteria that can lead to pneumonia and other infections that can be followed by influenza or viral respiratory infections usually transmitted by direct contract or inhalation of droplets and is most common in the very young or very old
Pseudomonas
infection that thrives in moist environments
Impetigo
Most common in children 2-5 yrs. Old. Lesions are often on your face. Scratching spreads infection.
Streptococcal Pharyngitis
AKA Strep throat. Accounts for 15%-36% of sore throats in children. Pets can be carriers of Streptococcal Pharyngitis.
