Can be caused by hypoxemia, decreased oxygen levels in cells affecting cellular metabolism and distribution throughout vital organs
Hypercapnea
Increased CO2 in blood causes respiratory acidosis
Bradycapnea
Slow rate and depth , poor ventilation
Drug induced depression, intracranial pressure , diabetic coma, damage to respiratory centers
Bradypnea hypoventilation
