characteristic relapses and remissions, displaying white reticular lesions (lacelike network of slightly raised gray-white lines), accompanied or not by atrophic, erosive and ulcerative
and/or plaque type areas.
Lesions are frequently bilaterally symmetrical.
Desquamative gingivitis may be a feature
