What do we observe for vascular function?
Skin appearance and colour, fingertips and nail beds, arm size (swelling) and venous pattern.
How do we palpate for temperature?
With the back of fingers/hands
How and where do we palpate the pulse?
Radial artery (lateral wrist) and brachial artery (inner elbow, under bicep)
How to we evaluate radial and ulnar artery function?
Allen’s test (hand flush)
Where do we palpate lymph nodes?
Axils and medial elbow
