Alginates
An elastic material so can be used for people with teeth.
Spray adhesive onto the tray before using. Mix powder and water according to the right proportions - affects setting and usable time.

Set working times
Hydrophilic and elastic
Dust free powder
Poor surface retention so not good for crowns, etc.
Tears and permanently deformed easily
Hard to store because gains/loses water easily
