Patients who have an abscess or communicable disease.

What is the ASA classification for a healthy, pregnant patient?

What ASA status patients will we not see?
ASA IV: Life-threatening, incapacitating disease
ASA V: Death expected within 24hrs
What does and ASA I classification indicate about the patient?
Normally Healthy
What does an ASA II classification indicate about the patient?
Mild systemic disease or Disease controlled such as hypertension or diabetes with no systemic conditions.
What palpation method should be used for palpation of the salivary glands on the floor of the mouth?
Bimanual
What palpation method should be used for examination of maxillary torus?
Digital
What palpation method should be used for examination of occipital lymph nodes for symmetry?
Bilateral
